Water Utilities

The Water Utilities Department provides a wide range of essential services related to water supply and management. These services include the distribution of clean and safe drinking water, treatment of wastewater to ensure safe disposal, management of stormwater to prevent flooding and erosion, and maintenance and repair of water infrastructure. The department is also responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations related to water quality and environmental protection.

Where Does Brownsburg's Water Come From?

Drinking water comes from groundwater pumped from eight wells drawing water from the White River Basin and the purchase of approximately 400,000 gallons per day from Citizens Energy Group.
