Boards and Commissions
Boards and Commissions play a vital role in Brownsburg's local government by evaluating matters of special interest and when appropriate, making recommendations to the Town Council. All Boards and Commissions meetings are open to the public.
Parks & Recreation Department
Brownsburg Parks' volunteer program goal is to get residents involved in giving back to the community through volunteer service. Each year, the department utilizes the services of hundreds of volunteers that contribute over 1,500 hours of service annually in events, park stewardship, and building projects.
Brownsburg Police Department
The Citizen Police Academy is an extension of the Division’s community education efforts. The purpose of the academy is to increase citizen awareness of daily BPD operations of by educating them on topics relative to the role of police in our community. Each free, 8-session class consists of approximately 25 students.
Leadership Brownsburg Academy
The Leadership Brownsburg Academy is an eight-month program in which participants take part in a two-hour sessions once a month from February-September. Each month is focused on interactive features, such as exploring equipment, facility tours, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
