Town Court

The Brownsburg Town Court was established in 1992 to alleviate some of the caseloads on the Hendricks County Courts. Town Courts handle traffic infractions, local ordinance violations, and criminal misdemeanors.

In addition to the Judge, the court staff consists of two full-time employees. We currently hold Court on Wednesdays and typically hear between 60 and 70 cases daily.

It is your responsibility to notify your attorney and the Court of any change of address.

Check the status of your case at mycase.in.gov.

Please refer to our frequently asked questions for more information.

Ticket Payments

Tickets are not immediately available for payment. It takes, on average, 3-5 business days for the Court to receive the ticket from the Indiana Electronic Citation System. Therefore, before contacting the Court for information, please verify your ticket is on file at mycase.in.gov.

Appearing in Court

Court is held on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. There is no court on the 5th Wednesday of the month. Doors open for check-in at approximately 12:30 p.m. Court is not held on any other day of the week.

The Judge calls cases at his discretion. Plan to arrive on time and expect to be in Court until 4 p.m.

Probation

The Brownsburg Town Court Probation Department is located at 31 N Green Street in the Brownsburg Police Department.

If you are on probation out of Brownsburg Town Court and need to contact your probation officer, you will need to call (317) 858-6006 and leave a message. You can also contact your probation officer via email. Please do not contact the court office with questions about your probation appointments as the court does not have access to the probation officer's scheduled meetings.
