Nationally Recognized Fire Safety
Founded in 1923, the Brownsburg Fire Territory (BFT) was established in order to protect residents within the Town of Brownsburg. In 1995, the department, along with state legislators, formed Indiana's first Fire Protection Territory, expanding coverage to Brown and Lincoln Townships. Today, over 81 full-time employees, three fire stations and a Headquarters & Training Facility provide 52 square miles of protection.
We are proud to be rated ISO Class 1 - the highest rating a territory or department can receive, offering fire protection, emergency medical services, and technical rescue.
With a focus on prevention, we offer educational classes and presentations, including CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety, and Child Passenger Safety.
Your Brownsburg Fire Territory vigilantly serves with courage, integrity, and pride. We promise continued focus on responding rapidly to emergencies, providing appropriate intervention, and offering community education.
