Nationally Recognized Fire Safety
Founded in 1923, the Brownsburg Fire Territory (BFT) was established in order to protect residents with the Town of Brownsburg. In 1995, the department, along with state legislators, formed Indiana's first Fire Protection Territory to provide fire protection, technical rescue, and emergency medical services to a 52-square-mile district in North Eastern Hendricks County for Brown and Lincoln Townships as well as Brownsburg. Today, we have over 81 full time employees, three fire stations and a Headquarters & Training Facility.
We are proud to be an ISO Class 1 fire territory, which is the highest rating a territory or department can receive and ensures lower insurance costs for property owners within the fire territory district.
Along with providing fire protection, technical rescues, and EMS, we offer safety education, including Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Classes, CPR, Safe Sitter Classes, Fire Safety, Bike Safety, and Child Passenger Safety Education.
Your Brownsburg Fire Territory serves our residents with courage, integrity, and pride. We promise that the Brownsburg Fire Territory will continue to focus our efforts on responding rapidly to emergencies, providing appropriate intervention, and offering community education.
