This privacy statement covers the
Brownsburg Fire Territory Intranet and all other private
networks. Because the Brownsburg Fire Territory wants
to demonstrate its commitment to full disclosure of privacy
practices, it has agreed to disclose the following
information and privacy practices.
Information
Collection
The
Brownsburg Fire Territory is the sole owner of the
information collected, viewed, or stored on its internal
network. The
Brownsburg Fire Territory reserves the right to monitor,
intercept and/or review all data transmitted, received or
downloaded over the network. The employee is hereby
given notice that the Brownsburg Fire Territory will
exercise this right periodically, without prior notice and
without the prior consent of the employee. The
Brownsburg Fire Territory interests in monitoring and
intercepting data include but are not limited to: protection
of Brownsburg Fire Territory proprietary and classified
data; managing the use of the Brownsburg Fire Territory’s
computer system; preventing the transmission or receipt of
inappropriate materials by employees; and/or assisting the
employee in the management of electronic data during periods
of absence. The employee should not interpret the use
of password protection as creating a right or expectation of
privacy for the employee. Please understand that to protect
everyone involved, our employees can have no right nor
expectation of privacy with regards to the receipt,
transmission or storage of data on the Brownsburg Fire
Territory network.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of
data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about
the user. This site utilizes cookies as one of
several means of securing the network. Therefore,
cookies must be accepted without restriction for the
Brownsburg Fire Territory while connected to the network.
Communications
Emergency Notification
Network
The Emergency Notification Network is a email
based notification service controlled by our dispatch
center. This is optional and will only be utilized for
emergency or Homeland Security communications. Out of
respect for the privacy of our users we present the option
to not receive these types of communications. Please see the
Choice and Opt-out sections. The information obtained
by users who signup for this service is kept strictly
confidential and is NOT shared with anyone outside of the
Brownsburg Fire Territory. Our dispatch center
controls the issuance of these communications but does not
have any availability as to who these notifications are sent
to.
Sharing
Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every
effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose
personal information when required by law wherein we have a
good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply
with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal
process served on our Web site.
We DO NOT Share
Personal Information with Third Parties, with the exception
of the following:
Homeland Security Web Image Network
(HSWIN) Information submitted
to the Brownsburg Fire Territory pertaining to the HSWIN
system is shared with the State of Indiana Counter Terrorism
and Security Council. This information can include but
is not limited to details of participants notification to
participate, usage information, and feedback.
Child Safety ID's
Information submitted to the
Brownsburg Fire Territory Child Safety ID Program is
directly submitted to the vendor. This vendor has
privacy policies in place. We recommend that you
review their privacy policy prior to submitting any
information. All information submitted in this area
utilizing forms, buttons, etc. is never captured or stored
on the Brownsburg Fire Territory Network. Only
statistics of visits to this area is maintained by the
Brownsburg Fire Territory, an example of this would be
how many people visited this area today.
Business Information Submitted
Business information submitted to the
Brownsburg Fire Territory including, but not limited to,
contact information, contents, layout, and ownership may be
shared with law enforcement agencies in the interest of
public safety. This information may be submitted
through forms, email, mail, or verbal conversations.

we, the Brownsburg Fire Territory, is not responsible for
the privacy practices of such other sites. This
privacy statement applies solely to information collected by
this Web site.

Web site takes every precaution to protect our users’
information. All of our users’ information is
restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the
information to perform a specific job are granted access to
personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL
employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy
practices. Finally, the servers that store personally
identifiable information are in a secure, police monitored,
locked facility.
